2008 - 2010Background: The main role of this position is the hands-on management of the IT service of the company (13 servers, 80 desktops/laptops, managing 1 contractor). Benoit had to renew most of the servers with updated technology to better serve the company. Benoit is also actively looking and searching at improving the business availability and efficiency with alternate solutions (Virtualisation Softwares and Open Source Operating Systems). After this major update, the IT maintenance became easier, allowing Benoit to act as a Business Development Manager for New Caledonia and Recruitment Consultant and on a part-time basis to help the Company during the global financial crisis. Another role for Benoit was to gather enough information from the various departments in John Davidson & Associates to reply to Tenders.
This position has also enabled me to work as an IT consultant for our clients.

o Business Analyst position to help the company deploy the ERP in Cote d’Ivoire. This includes several trips onsite to develop procedures and help the Finance and Supply chain teams to get up to speed.
Achievements: This position has enabled Benoit to renew the infrastructure of the company, gaining a good knowledge of Windows Server Systems. Benoit also had to negotiate contracts to reduce the IT overhead costs without any compromise on efficiency. It has also enabled Benoit to develop further his business acumen.
2006 - 2008Background: Responsible for the evolution of an Australian ERP system with Methods & Tools. Responsible for Finance, Supply Chain, Maintenance. Responsible also for the operational support of this ERP system. Benoît’s work is based primarily in Noumea with frequent trips to Australia to discuss maintenance processes with the outsourced support company. Also responsible on the IT side for small projects for different streams (Finance, Supply Chain).
Achievements: This position has enabled Benoît to participate in a significant project, that has enable him to travel frequently to Australia to work with Senior Consultants which has given him the opportunity to further develop his business acumen.
2004 - 2006Background: Responsible for the entire development (from Business Requirements, specifications development, project management and maintenance) of two major applications: Transit Management and Freight Forwarder Management. During this period Benoît was also involved in the functional and technical specification of the social security calculation of reimbursements.
Achievements: The two major applications implemented by Benoît are still in use today. This job has assisted Benoît in developing his skills to work in a more autonomous environment, create stronger partnerships with the customer and to refine his analytical skills in accessing and documenting customer needs as part of requirements gathering and then effectively translating these needs as part of the IT solution
2003 - 2003Part of the EPITA Course (6 months)
Background: Project Manager for the implementation of an EDI between three public companies (The Law Court of New Caledonia, the local Statistical Institute and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry) to ease the process of registering new companies. The project (ELFE) was a particularly large venture. During the time Benoît was working as the Project Manager was also responsible for the writing of the business requirements, the functional and technical specification, the development and the implementation of intranet software to manage stationeries.
Achievements: Being part of a successful large project which had many diverse elements to it given the number of companies involved.
