About him

With an extensive background in financial planning and realty, James Taylor played a lead role in founding the Gold Coast, Australia-based real estate agency @realty in 2014. As a leader of the company, he designs strategies for business growth, researches properties suitable for purchase and development, and contracts with developers to market and sell their building stock. Having expanded @realty’s operations beyond the Gold Coast to stretch across the state of Queensland, James Taylor is working to recruit 3,000 real estate agents to @realty within the next three years and extend the company’s services into New Zealand.

In complement to his role with @realty, James Taylor serves as a director at 3JL (Qld) Pty. Ltd, a real estate consultancy he established in 2005. His recent dealings through 3JL include advising the Howard Group on the purchase of an allotment in suburban Ashmore, Queensland, to be developed into a 162-unit apartment estate. Responsible for sourcing land plots and raising funds for purchase, he is currently negotiating to secure a lot for a residential project comprising more than 90 homes.

Previously, James Taylor served as a senior sales executive for an International commercial real estate firm and as national director of acquisition for Urban Construct Pty. Ltd. While with Urban Construct, he located available land parcels throughout South East Queensland and executed contracts with commercial partners to develop the sites. Earlier in his career, he co-owned the financial planning firm Investment Advisors of Australia and founded the investment advisory Bearing Financial Services.
