Hatch supplies engineering, project and construction management services, process and business consulting and operational services to the mining, metallurgical, energy and infrastructure industries.

Hatch provides an array of services to the mining, mineral processing and metals industry and offers innovative designs of metallurgical processes that have in many cases established the standard for all metallurgical companies. Currently, we have projects under way for 15 of the largest metals companies in the world by capitalization.

I'm currently working on the Koniambo project, this one is located in the North Province of New Caledonia. It is a joint venture between Société Minière du Sud Pacifique and Xstrata Nickel (formerly Falconbridge Limited). This greenfield, pyrometallurgical facility will comprise a 60,000-t/yr ferronickel smelter for the extraction of nickel from saprolitic ore mined from the Koniambo ore body. Koniambo is one of the world’s largest and highest-grade undeveloped nickel laterite deposits.
