Responsible for design and detailing of Subsea Control Modules and related products for oil well equipment. Materials selection, inspection methods, surface treatments, component configuration as well as system function are defined by the engineer. I am also in charge of translating customer requirements accurately into detail documents for production processes and users. This includes final responsibility for accuracy of drawings, material bills and design calculations. Design engineers report to an Engineering manager, Supervisor and System Lead Engineer.

Product details: Rated for water depths up to 3000 meters (10,000 feet), the CAMTROL Subsea Control Module (SCM) is the heart of the subsea system.
The SCM provides multiplexed electro-hydraulic control and monitoring of a wide variety of field functions including traditional tree functions, manifold valve control, choke adjustment, position indication, header pressure/temperature monitoring, downhole intelligence monitoring, sand detection, corrosion monitoring and multiphase flow measurement.

Petroleum or Petrochemical and related industries
2003 - 2005

Research Project for Total at the TULSA University Artificial Lift Project department (TUALP) sponsored by 9 major petroleum companies.

Studied the influence of viscosity on electrical submersible pump (ESP) performance.

Proposed new procedure to correct the pump performance under viscosity based on Navier-Stokes equations and dimensional analysis.

Designed and installed the experimental loop sponsored by the University and by Schlumberger (Reda), to validate the proposed methodology.
